Default B18A1 build Questions

We have a 1990 Ls itr and we want to go all motor on it. Some guy has a 1.7 vtech head that he says will work on our motor any ideas on that working or not? And any other info on building this motor would be great. Thanks

Is the motor an ls or itr motor? Just wondering because you said you have an ls itr.

It's a Ls, we will be using a B17 head on ours.

What they are forgetting to mention is that there is some other work that has to be done if you want it to last longer than an oil change or two.

If its a 90' LS, your about to try and ask a 20 year old block to now do more than it has ever done. You should bore/hone, and atleast get some ARP rod bolts to beef up the bottom end. Im not gunna jump and tell you that rods and pistons are a MUST, but it sure wouldn't hurt.
Once you've worked out the issues that are sure to come up within the rotating mass, your a golden eagle kit away from having the motor work done. Tackle the wiring, and your on your way.
