4dr automatic wants more speed turbo or swap?
Alright guys i have a 05 4dr civic currently it is an automatic (i kno lame) I want more speed out of my vehicle at first i was just going for looks but Im ready to pick up the speed. Currently under the hood is the stock D17 motor with Fujita cold air intake, Megan Headers, and also Skunk 2 Exhaust. I dont want to spend an arm and leg so im stuck between the decision of just doin a turbo or super charger or swappin the engine out with either a k20 or k24 but if i did that i would feel like i need to change my trani to a manual.....soo any advice would help!!!!!

There are some good k series automatics available, ie base RSX, TSX, Accord, would be lots of used ones available as they are not sought after for swaps. Have not seen an automatic k series swaps in civics so why not be the first to perform one.
get the dezod turbo for auto from what ive read you can get up to 200hp with just 5psi..and a guy on here also did a vtec head swap and wired up a vafc controller to his ecu so you dont have to swap out the ecu and get your keys reflash because of the chiped key

dezods kits are discontinued, and there is no difference between an automatic turbo set up and a manual turbo set up. second of all a vafc isnt worth a bucket of **** for a turbo set up! after a certain amount of time (2 weeks i believe) the vafc gets over written by the stock ecu and you need to re-tune it again, every soo often. and finally you only have to get your keys reflashed and take your stock ecu out if you use a standalone engine management system like hondata K-PRO but other then that you do not need to get your keys reflashed when using a piggy back
i was in the same boat as you...i didn't want to sell my civic but a nicely done swap would have been around $10k. i ended up spending the money on an s2000. now i have two cars. one of them is as fast and handles better than a typical swapped em2. i also have a comfy automatic em2 for the winter months.

As for the dezod kit, they blow. thats why theyre out of business. I got a stage I NA Crower Cam and the gains from that seem to have similar gains to when i had a full header, DP, exhaust and intake bolted onto my car.
