My 90 Civic SI (d16a6) throttle body keeps getting stuck... if i give it any gas by the pedal it gets stick at what ever RPM i stop it at... but if i rev it by the actual throttle body it doesnt... idk if there is a problem with the cable or the pedal.... heres a video

when ever i am drivign and i go to shift it revs really high and when i get in gear it goes back down to 3k i litterally dont even push the gas it drives its self... PLZ HELP


oh and it randomly happened when i brough the car up to 5k n shifted

 

maybe try tracing the cable to see if its snaggin on anything

 

I just did my brothers dad called me n told me to check the trottle cble... its Freying..... so it wont go all the way back to normal when using the pedal... u guys think i cna juss clip the 2 little pieces or should i just replace the whole thing?

 

i would just replace it. they dont cost much, you can use a DA one too
