What's the best HID kit for a GSR?
I was wondering what the best HID kit was for a 1998 GSR and if it will actually work as if they were stock XENONS, they have projectors already so I'd like to think it'd work really nicely but I am looking for function over fashion. I want a nice look but reliability of the kit, price and visability improvement are most important...
What kit? How much does it cost? How hard is it to install?

I have a 98 Rs, lights are the same for GSR and RS, both have projectors
I got xenon h.i.d , got them for 65, easy as heck to install, literally plug and play
Just take our your high beam light bulb and connect the system on there and thats it

x2, PnP HIDs are the new rage, but come with nasty side effects. the stock projector( which is the same for all trim levels) was not designed to have an amplified light transferred through it,.. it might make the road nice and bright, but driving by them is literally blinding. that may not affect you, since you're the one driving, but wait till you drive by one of the little ****** with their dope HID kit and you can't see **** as you pass... retrofit or bust.

That's partly because you decided to ask the same questions that tons of people already have...
Good brands are DIGITAL, XenonDepot, and lately I've been hearing good things about DDM Tuning. Look at the quality of the warranty.
Even though a retrofit is the best option, you won't be too disappointed with the output. DC projectors have a narrow beam, but there is hardly any glare, if any. And pictures people spread online showing glare don't look like what you see in person. A camera's lens and your eye aren't the same.
Installation is a breeze.

Who really knows? lol. Some vendors say the parts used in the ballast are made here, and not China, but I don't think anyone can prove anything. That's why you look for a good warranty.
Sounds shitty, like youre buying crap that will constantly be a pain... maybe I should just keep the lights stock. Booooo
I just put the DDM Tuning 6000k hid kit in my 1998 LS, couldn't be happier. Fast shipping, great quality. Very happy so far and less than $60 shipped FTW
Check out our Volt kits on sale for $94.99 for Honda-Tech members. YOu won't beat the quality and the warranty is handled directly through us. We've been around for nearly 10 years now... Buy from somewhere you can trust

I second Hurleystrcr9621, got mine from DDM tuning 55W kit 8000k for $93 and has a lifetime warranty, who can beat that? all the kits that are 55w that i've seen run over at least $150 so if this one messes up lifetime warranty
You put a 55w in your integra? Did you have any overheating issues, like damage to your headlight housing? I'm looking at DDM too, I've done some research and their pretty good, I didn't realize the stock projector would not work that well with HIDs though. Reflectors to the most damage to oncoming drivers, but I would still think a stock projector would be better than nothing.
I can't afford a projector I don't think, I'm gonna look into it, and retrofits.
Interested in the 55w HID though, heard there could be a heat issue.

well idk about the heat issues but they have a lifetime warranty so im just into getting the lights right now, cuz eventually im upgrading the projectors but I think the stock projectors should be fine getting them and installing them tomorrow so ill post how it goes tomorrow maybe even pics/video for u to see how it is
