The starter motor works but the car won't crank
I tried cranking my car today and when I turned the key nothing happened. I got the stater used and thought that was the problem but when I connected the negative and positive on the starter the car cranked then stalled out. I checked the battery connections and the starter relay fuse and they were fine. Is there any fuse or connection that I'm missing or could I have an ecu issue?
on the starter there is a little solenoid, it's a little wire that goes to the starter, get a test light and hook up to that wire (its only one wire), and ground, have someone turn the key to crank if light comes on it is the starter, you got a crappy one from the junkyard, if light dont come on the check the switch like ron says
