Default h23a bluetop help ej2

ok finally got my h23 in bolted up and running, but wont idle correctly. prob 1 is the im that came with the car is a obd2 with a 3 wire iacv and im using my 95 dx harness which has a 2 wire connector. so i tried what some else told me to do which was simply take a 2 wire sensor sit it somewhere plug it in and run the hoses to it and then adjust the idle with the adjustment screw but that doesnt work either. searched but not to many people have swapped this into a civic and have knowledge about it. any help will be appreciated.

Try adjusting your distributor timing. Loosen your distributor (just enough so you can turn it, not so its loose as hell), let it idle and slowly turn it untill it idles smoother.

As for the IACV, you are going to have to purchase a new IM so a 2 wire will directly wire up to it.

tried to that but didnt work. i think the biggest prob is the chip in my p06 isnt tuned for the h23 or h22. its for my jdm d15. think that could cause it to be so erratic?

First major issue is your ECU you need the PO or P28 to be chipped with a H22 or H23 Vtec base map. Don't run the car or you will risk doing damage. Fuel Map is for a 1.6 SOHC not a H22/H23. Crome chip it.

PO ecu will need vtec to be added and sodered and chipped with H22A map

RoskoRacing.com makes the 3 wire IACV to 2 wire adapter plate. Use 2 wire IACV Prelude.

H23 Blue Top manifold has OBD2 distributor and injectors. You will need OBD1 H22 injectors. Distributor can be re wired from OBD2-OBD1 Rywire.com may be able to make you a pig tail adapter for it. If you can't make out wires.

H23 Blue Top intake manifold uses a different injector angle then a normal H22. There for you will need to machine/grind some of the nose of the Intake Manifold for added injector angle clearance for normal H22 injectors. RoskoRacing.com also does this work.

Or you may swap the manifold completey for H22 intake manifold, I would swap the H23 Blue Top Throttle Body over since its a 65mm Throttle Body larger then normal H22.

Very true. What you could also do if you can source it is just get the H22 upper plenum since the manifold is 3 separate pieces and get an IACV. The adapter Rosko makes is for the EuroR one which is not the same as your H23a. That one is the same and has the same bolt pattern as the F20B's 3 wire rotary IAC.Ask Rosko if he would modify his EuroR IAC relocator kit to work with that manifold just to see if you can keep your upper plenum.

Im pretty sure that does support a 2-wire IACV. I'd email the seller and ask though. As for the f22a1 IM, I have no idea if that will work or not.

today seemed to b a waste. now car doesnt run with any ecu p06 stock/p06 chipped and vtec/either aem ems. turns over strong but doesnt crank. checked for fuel and fire both were present although fire seemed to be a bit weak i think. im using the edm obd2 that came with it, i just rewired it for obd1. i also ran the obd2 injectors that came with motor as the ems instructions said i needed to use saturated injectors...........any one plz some input
