wait a minute dude. One of our mechanic's says LS and the other one says GSR.
What the heck?
IB in a war over cranks.
I say GSR. Or you can give me your GSR crank, and I give you polished LS crank.

An LS crank will fit in a GS-R/ITR block without any machine work. However, you will have to slightly (very slightly) bend a couple of the oil squirters for clearance.
I have done it before so I know it works.

Jeff why would the GSR cranks be better than an ITR crank?

But wouldn't the Ls crank give more tq that the gsr crank? and is putting a ls crank in a gsr with 85mm bore a good idea, or its better to stay with the gsr or even the type r crank.....
a gsr crank will produce less torque and low end power. A gsr will mantain a longer flatter torque curve which is much better in my opinion.
