Car turns on just by jump starting it other wise when I open the switch no lights come on cluster, but radio and lights work. It has no cel , brand new battery, it doesn't click or turns, I checked all fuses under dash and engine bay all are ok .. what could be wrong ?

 

Check for ground connections. A bad ground could cause this problem.

 

Ground connection ? Car was running good this just happened all of a sudden..

 

Can it be the starter?

 

1. check and clean all grounds

2. clean battery terminals of any corrosion

3. check battery terminals make sure there making good connection with the posts on the battery

4. next time you jump your car go to auto zone and test the alternator

grounds are those wires that come off your engine that touch bare metal, there should be one by your radiator, tranny, back of the motor, etc

if it was the starter it would click when you tried to start it but since you said no clicking or turning it cant be the starter

 

But if it would be the alternator , it should've start anyways since its a new battery

Since it's usually my problem when it happens

 

this happened to my buddy before and we found out that it was the neutral safety switch. Behind your clutch there is a switch that is pressed down when you push the clutch in. make sure this switch is pushed down all the way and then try starting your car. you can go under your dash and push the button with your finger while a buddy turns the ignition. see if this works. hope this helps!

 

We tried that too and didn't help.=( but. What's weird is that with the switch on the on position there's no lights on cluster such as oil, battery, brake and all those that comes out

 

This has Poor ground written all over it man... I'd clean the grounds even from the block to the bay, and make sure your terminals & the wires to them aren't corroded as ****..
