Default EK leaking in the rain, anyone have this problem also?

My 96 CX hatch is leaking on the passenger side only. The floor on the entire side (under front floor mat, under seat, under rear floor mat) is wet and lots of water is building up.

Im just wondering before I take the carpet out and look for the leak if its a common thing?

Thanks

To all you guys with the truck leak: I had that leak when I bought the car, its the tail light seals. Take you tail lights out the use water proof calking to reseal the rubber seal to the tail light ifself, and then re-install the tail light, done.

Now for this leak haha still cant figure it out.

You might want to check the roof seal; windshield, the "cowl area" where the wipers are, the firewall seals, the A/C evaporator, and cracks in seam sealer near the hood hinges.

Maybe remove your ecu and pull the carpet back and have some one hit your car with a hose and attempt to stick your head under the dash to see if you can see where it is coming in.

Is it a sunroof model? If so there are tubes on both sides(may be on non-sunroof as well) that drain the excess rain water to the ground. If one of them has come undone or become cracked/weathered it will leak to the inside. The tubes are underneath headliner.

were you driving or was it just parked?

you say theres build up so i guess its from sitting there and there isnt a whole under because then the water would leak back out
