Do you know how to get a readout of the CEL code? There's a way to do it easily in Hondas, and knowing the exact CEL code would pinpoint your problem.

Oh, no I was totally kidding. My bad if it read wrong. I can see how that could happen now I reread my post. I'd edit with LOLs and stuff, but then people would just wonder what you were talking about!

So, yeah, sorry for that.

I'm not all great with this. but i have a 01 integra too. and currently in a tech school to study upon auto. i was reading up the technical service bulletins and remembered bulletins about rotten egg smells, and it would of been the bad cat. Um try bringing it to a near by jiffy lube station. If there is any nearby, they should be able to read your check engine light for you at zero to a small cost. Hope my info helps you

Please do not service your car at jiffy.Haven't you watch the news lately?Check on youtube on the awful service they provide to their customers.Learn to do everything yourself.Like I always tell others, who wants to pay 30 bucks for a ten minute oil change or 60 bucks for a/c recharge.Complete rip off.

Has the OP figured out what codes your throwing ?

A test pipe will throw a code for the secondary o2 sensor and catalyst efficiency. The primary o2 sensor measures fuel trim.

This one might even work for you.

You most likely need to replace the catalytic converter, you may not need to replace the sensor, the sensor isn't going to function correctly if the cat isn't functioning correctly, resulting in a CEL comming on. You haven't provided the codes so I'm just making an assumption; But for the high mileage on your vehicle, you may need to replace the oxygen sensor as well.

Get the codes and we can be of more help..

Thanks for the info guys.. I havent figured out the code yet.. However, my brother-in-law has a OBDII reader that i will plug up into my car. Is that as accurate as the thing Gagnar is referring to? I will try both OBDII and the light flash thing. Ill keep you guys updated!

The only advantage of the light flashing trick is that it's free. Code readers are $$$ and they give the same info as the flashing CEL trick (albeit with slightly less hassle). Either way, you'll get your answer.

What i meant was that i only went to jiffy to get my code check, that's all. I do all the service for my car by myself. Rather have the feeling I did something to my car
