HELP. 0bd2 GSR but i want to be OBD1. VAC lines?
i had a obd0 B16a converted to Obd1, i want to stay OBD1 but im now swapping in a OBD2 GSR. i seached but couldnt find it. am i going to need and additional sensors for the Gsr to run correctly? and what vac diagram do i follow?
I looked on AEBS site for a GS-R manifold and it's not showing any.
The only manifolds they show specifically say they aren't for GS-R.

You can run the stock manifold... not that hard.
The OBD2 IAB trigger off 12 volt signal from the ECU.
OBD1 trigger off a ground signal.
So, running an OBD1 P72 on your engine will not trigger IAB.
If you run an OBD1 P72 then you have to convert the IAB wires.
You need to find the IAB connector (2 wires) and find out which wire goes to ECU and which one goes to constant ground. Cut the constant ground wire and run it to switched 12V (common place to tap into is the DEAD END plug on the firewall that gets 12V when the injectors get 12V).
You can also add hardware to a P28, P05, or OBD1 PR3-J01 and chip it with the P72 map.
I have a chipped PR3-J01 with the OBD2 IAB hardware for sale - PM me if you are interested.
Other than that I think it should run fine.
You will have to rewire your OBD2 distributor for OBD1 (not hard).
Maybe have to swap out alternators if the OBD2 doesn't work with OBD1.

the car was running in an EF before....it was OBD1 while it was in the 90 EF. I dont have a stock GSR mani, the manifold that was on it before was the AEBS so i know its possible. this is taking longer than i expected my funds are running low lol, so i would want to keep the Aebs manifold.
Why did you create two threads for this? If I understand you, your current car is OBD1 and the engine is coming from an OBD1 car? I don't see where the problem is... For vaccum lines can't you see where they go on the B16 and hook up the GSR like that?
