Default differance between eg and ek front forks

hey guy, i just took off my jic magic suspension that came on my ek( too stiff for my old ***) im starting to think that they used front forks off of a eg to make the jic's work, cause i got a setof suspension off of a em1 (00 si) struts with h&r springs, and the struts dont fit into the front forks. and before you say "search button" i have searched and am 99% sure, just need conformation. so my actutal question is, eg front suspension forks hole is to small to accept ek struts? thanks and my bank account thanks you!

Yes, 88-91 Civic front forks have smaller openings for the shock than the later generations

I'm not quite sure where the ef/da front forks fit into this. However the 99-00si has wider forks than other civic models. I believe that 94-01 integra an 92-00 civics use the same front fork (with the exception of the 99-00si).

the ef/da forks come into play because i had ef/da coilovers on my ek, sold them and was left with the forks thinking they would fit into ek struts. well they dont and i need 92-00 civic or 94-00 integra. EXCEPT EM1 , cause the fork is wider at the bottem of the 00 si like you said, thanks
