Hard to shift into 1st and Rev. Clutch?
Hey, I've got an 01 prelude sh, it has a stage 3 clutch kit in it and now it's being a pain in the *** to shift into 1st and reverse, making parking lot manuevering tedious. Alot of times it just needs a bit of cooercing but other times the shifter is completely blocked from the gear. All my other gears are not as bad but not as smooth as they should be.
On the Ford pickup I used to have it had the same problem but it was the slave cylinder. My slave cylinder (on the lude) is not visibly leaking. My clutch also isn't grabbing way low to the floor. It has fluid in the clutch m/c and I don't think it has run dry...
Can the slave cylinder be leaking internally?
Does it sound more like the springs in the clutch plate are broken, a slave cylinder, or does it just need to be bled?

I have the same problem....in for a response.
A friend mentioned to me something about a bearing on one of the transmission shafts "cracking" and causing this issue.

ok so i bled my clutch...and then swapped out the old bushings on the shift linkage for new ones and the problem has all but gone away..it gets stuck a little going into 1st when the car is cold...other than that my prob is solved....hope that helps you out in your quest for an answer
I dunno with this car, problem after problem...
Anyway I can't bleed it because I have no tools (although my roommate might, I'll have to ask him) and I can't do any extensive repairs (no garage, no tools, no money, no time) but when and if I get some money I'll have my mechanic look at it while he's fixing my rear main seal...again.
PS-When I downshift into first I get a double clinking noise and resistance to the shifter moving on each clink or clunk or whatever. No other gear does that. Except reverse sometimes.
