HELP! brake light problem!

Default HELP! brake light problem!

i have a 91 integra & my brake lights doesnt come on. here's the full story. everytime i place a 20 amp fuse in the horn/brake it burns and at the same time as im applying the brakes my car shuts off. and i notice a burning smell. HELP! any info would be appreciated.

You gotta short somewhere.... I would start at the taillights and see if a wire is bare then go from there.

^^well there's nothing wrong with the wiring & its new bulbs. im just wondering why the car keeps cutting off.

Obviously there is a wiring problem somewhere. Check your engine grounds and battery ground........

Bust out the factory service manual and check whatever goes to that fuse. You might also check above/around the brake pedal and see if anything is getting pushed on when you apply the brakes.

disconnect your negative from your battery then put in the fuse
