I have a 98 ex that i'm doing a motor swap and came across a b20 with ls tranny out of a 96 integra. does anyone know if it's illegal in the state of washington to swap in a crv cause its an suv engine?

 

yes it is legal, i know alot of people who have b20s.

my friend just put a b20b is his 97 and passed emissons like a week ago, if you cant pass do you know anyone that lives where they dont have to do emissions?
you can always register it there.

 

not anyone that i know of but i am looking to pass emissions hopefully it doesn't throw any codes on me. i'll be running it with a obd2a p72 ls ecu. basically it's going to be stock besides headers and 2.5inch exhaust. just want it running.

 

p72 ecu is a gsr ecu

 

Yes. And a P72 probably would throw a code on a B20, for the IABs if nothing else. Make sure you get a 2a P72; a 2b won't even start without modification.

 

my bad i meant p75 ls. the swap coming out of a 96 integra.

 

If you have any emissions or inspections, it won't fly. The B20 is a light truck engine.
