Ok so when I first bought my car and really started to push her, the top of second gear was at 60 mph. I've used royal purple since i got it up until today. then I started playing with additives. I decided the octane boosters are a waste of time. Then I used the 4 cylinder formula engine restore. My second gear topped at 70 after that. Today I changed my oil with Castrol Edge 5w30 and more engine restore and cleaned my vacuum lines with seafoam. I took her out for a spin and i almost hit 80 in second!!! Theres a POSSIBILITY I let the rpms go a lil further but that sounds like a firm increase IMO. What could make it do this? I havent done any more performance mods since then.

also, why is it better to use say.. 5w30 in the winter as opposed to 10w30... thx.

 

the thinner oil makes it easier for start ups in the cold

 

yeah i heard engine restore is pretty good

 

lol alright could a bad transmission also do this? cuz this tranny isnt doin so hot...
