Getting annoyed with spring install

Default Getting annoyed with spring install

I tried to search for this, but Im installing skunk2 springs and I have my stock ones compressed, problem is the top nut on the strut just keeps turning, nothing is happening and it wont just turn loose. What is going on ?

there is a place for an allen key on top of the rod.

awsome, now the top nut got stripped, had right size, used pb blaster, stopped turning about 2 threads left on the bolt... anyway to fix this besides a new strut ?

with the springs already compressed safely with a spring compressor, take it somewhere with an airgun and have it zipped off.

it might damage the shocks internal seals a bit. but if its only got a few threads, it should be minimal turning of the shock rod before its off.
