Default Spring and strut/shock install..

ok, ive been told that i need a spring compressor to take off my stock springs. i was wondering how to use this tool, and do i need it to put the new springs and shocks in? thanks everyone.

****EDIT**** i scrolled down and found what i needed. im sorry, i tried to delete the thread but it wont let me.

you dont exactly NEED one, it is just highly, highly recommended (safety)....theres a couple diff styles of spring compressors....the one i have is like a really big bolt w/u-bots coming off of it that you connect to the spring and you have one on each side.......you shouldnt need it to put the new ones on since im assuming youre doing this to lower your vehicle and the new springs will be shorter....you should just need it to take your stock ones off.
