i just bought a automatic 97 civic from a friend of mine for a daily. it was wrecked so it sat for a couple months untill i pieced the front end together. i got it together and running two nites ago and when its warming up it idles at about 2000, then after it warms up it starts jumping between 500 to 2000. ussually i would just clean the idle air control but autos dont have them. any other ideas to check for? it also doesnt have the intake box, just the arm and no filter.

no vacume leaks. cell just went off this morning coming to work so im gonna check to see wat is.

 

its throwing code 14 (iac). but i was told autos didnt have one.

 

found wheres its at. now just gotta find one

 

or take yours off and clean it

 

bought to do that in a sec actually. not gonna replace if i can fix it.

 

tried cleaning it and reseting the ecu. didnt work. so im gonna go buy a local shop and try to pick one up
