hi, need help p28 ecu auto
hey all, right im completely noob at this.. so need your collective help
i have a 96 honda civic d15z6 engine (auto) now you cant chip the ecu for this car, but ive heard if i use a p28 ecu and a conversion harness i can.
what im after is what conversion harness will i need (from and to?)
also the ecu is chipped? so i take it i will be able to buy pre mapped chips and just slot them in yes?
( reason im asking is because i have a turbo kit thatll be added.. eventually) so will need the ability for it to be retuned
thanks all jim

it really depends on where in the world you are, 96's can be OBD2a or OBD1.
If you have an OBD2a car then you'd need a conversion hanress that converts your OBD2a car to an OBD1 ECU. (typically refered to as OBD2a-to-OBD1)
If your car is OBD1 (which happens in some parts of the world) then you don't need a conversion harness.
as far as what chip you put in the ECU, that's up to you, but no premade chip is going to run the car like the OEM ECU did. The only way to get close is to have it tuned.
