Icon6 Warranty Question

My 98 ex is now 11 years old. There are a few things i would like to have a few things repaired by the dealer but I want to know if they are covered by some kind of extended warranty or if i will have to pay out of pocket. The two things that I'm interested are getting the things that go in the floor to hold the O.E.M. floor mats in place and the other thing is my seat belts no longer roll up and I wanted to see if they could somehow fix that.

I have an owner's manual for 97 Civic and the number for the local office in Torrance is 310 781 4565. By the way, the seat belt has a warranty for the life of the car. It say so in the warranty book. The mat hold downs are available with new mats from the dealer. They will only add the hold down if you have the original mats.

My 97 Civic DX is still covered by an extended emissions warranty (15 years or 150K miles) that came about as a result of a lawsuit. The dealer will fix for free nearly any fault associated with a CEL. For example, I've had plugs, wires, O2 sensor, cat, and ECU replaced thus far. You may want to look into whether your Civic is covered by this emissions warranty.

Years ago, I received an Extended Emissions Warranty letter in the mail from Honda corp as I am the first and only owner of my 97 Civic. I recommend that you call your local Honda dealer about whether your Honda (Civic, Accord, Passport) qualifies. They may ask for your VIN. I believe the covered years are 96 and 97 as well as some 98 Civics.

simple ALL seat belts, buckles that are "defect" being the key word, Honda will replace them no charge-under warrenty! As for the floor mat holder they will not. You're going to pay for them
