what are your compression numbers since the rebuild?
If you did install the timing belt incorrectly and the crank is 180 degrees off then chances are you may have had some piston to valve contact and ruined something

I know this might sound dumb but check your spark plug wires and make sure they are in the right firing order. If thats not it, put cylinder 1 TDC and recheck everything to make sure your not 180 out. I would also check the compression like the other guys said. good luck bro
well it doesnt spin fast and rings are brand new and honed cylinger walls too gapped all to spec so i am sure compression is not an issue! it then wouldnt have compression and spin faster and i get spark on all 4 cylinders toowires never came off dist but will check that now

well you cant get crank wrong and timing marks are up when crank gear line was on mark, and nubers were 65, 75, 95,85 but then it hasnt started to break them in and seat them correctly, yes grounds are good and firing order is too, spark is white in color also and were covered in fuel on all plugs too!
ok i moved my dist. maybe retarding it? or avanced dunno which way is which, but i moved it alll the way to 1 side and she purrs like a kitten, how would i go about getting it back in middle of adjustment now?
I might be wrong on this, buut I believe if you can't get your timing correct using the distributor adjustment, then you will have to rotate the crank (or camshafts) a notch on the timing belt to either retard or advance the position of the crank. Then you should be able to set the ignition timing to the correct setting. Just make sure you are using the right marks on the crank pulley/ harmonic balancer and the correct pointer on the timing cover.
yes you need the lower timing cover, and in order to get that on you need to take your crank pulley off. which at that time you will be able to double check to make sure you crank is set preperly to your camshaft position. While the crank pulley is off you should mark your timing marks on the pulley with red or some bright color paint. it will make seeing the mark with the timing light a lot easier.
here is a link of how you are going to time your car correctly:

You have to pay attention to the first few steps that involve warming the car up, when you adjust timing the engine should be around 750 rpm. And make sure the timing light referance is on the #1 cylinder spark plug wire...
