Default Flywheel grinding starter

98 accord 4dr with an f23a5, manual transmission.

got a fidanza flywheel (f/h series) and a centerforce dual friction clutch put in awhile ago, but the starter has always ground on the flywheel. tried to see if i had the wrong starter (autozone is hella tight like that) but all of the i've used still scratch. only started happening after i got the fidanza in there, the shop i got it done at SWEARS it works, and fidanza's webpage says the same. no missing teeth of flywheel OR starter. both look fine, i've had both out.

anyone have any ideas on this? perhaps i need an f22/h22/h23 starter? and which will work? i'm pretty handy with swaps and whatnot, so any input is appreciated. my brother's got the car now and he's starting to get pissy ha.

I've never heard of that before. There's probably something inside the starter that is causing that noise probably? Unless, you tried a few different ones and still persist.

Any F22, H23, or H22 Starter will do. I'm running my F22 starter on my T2T4 F20B LSD 5spd trans.

I have not either, though I'm on the third reman. starter. I'm going to try a prelude, thanks for the insight. The starter gear has been different on each starter so far, so I'm going to keep trying them out.
