Default Who's done a RHD firewall conversion? advice?

Did some searching, didn't find what I was interested in.

If you've done a RHD firewall conversion, what advice would you give to the next guy starting? And "don't do it" or "leave it to the pro's" is not the advice I'm looking for.

What's the one or two little things you learned or wish you knew at the time?

All the good threads on the matter are very old and the pics don't work. Stuff like "drill here" with a missing picture is not very useful. ...lol...

Wadda ya mean "not a joke"? You found it difficult? Time consuming? impossible? Enjoyable but not funny?

Check out the build threads in the appearance section. There was atleast one guy who showed the whole process on an EF he converted to RHD. Im sure that will show you whats involved.

"time" for some people is part of the hobby. Or the ability to say, I did that myself. Some people paint, some like wiring, etc. Me, I'm a fabricator. Hence the appeal.

That's pretty much why I did the RHD conversion to my 99 Prelude. I just wanted to see if I could do it and to be able to tell people who ask me about it, that I built it myself. When I tell people that, they're all amazed and ask me what I do for a living. I just hand them a buisness card and tell them to call me up whenever they need some body work done

It isn't easy to do. Very time consuming. If you have the tools and love to fabricate it is a blast. I would say unless you can work on it like it is a job 8-5 m-f. it will take some time. It can be done. Make sure you pay attention and look over build threads. I don't think I ever did a build thread on mine.

My little advise is that dry ice works well on seam sealer to dry it out and peal it off. some use heat guns. That works as well but does stink (at least to me).
