Default Electrical problem

I have a 95 civic DX, my problem is sometimes when i step on the brake i can hear real bad static in my radio. But rarely i can also hear it when im not applying the brakes so thats probably normal.
Thing is when i bought the car the tip for the antenna wire that plugs into the radio was broken off so i spliced a new one on, but that gave me bad reception so i ended up just getting a new antenna all together.

My question is what could be causing the static? has anyone ever had a similar problem?

Could your antenna be touching the body of the car? what about the back of the radio is any wire touching ground?

i dont think the antenna is touching the body of the car. or do you mean the tube that slides down into the frame of the car? ill have to check the back of the radio tho now that i think about it it wasnt professionally installed.

No i dont really hear noise when i accelerate just more when my foot is on the brake, like for example last week i was at a light and the whole time my foot was on the brakes all i could hear was static.

yeah i did mofidy the brake lights, i put a spoiler with LED lights and cut into the 3rd brake light to make it work, but the thing is i had static before that

i guess i should have payed more attention to when i switched out the radio, cause when i bought the car the radio it came with wasnt playing at all thats how i found out the antenna wire was cut, after replacing it i didnt get static for a while. but idk if it had static from the brakes after the new radio in or from the spoiler...

yeah it kinda did, it helped me get more ideas to diagnose the problem. but i think i might just take out the radio and have someone look at the way its wired to the harness cause it looked like who ever had the car before me did some tampering with the wires to hook up a system so im going to rip out all those wires laying around

Why you say that?
The box and amps were all taken out only thing left was the ground wire in the trunk and a couple other stuff but i recently yanked those out and still got the static
