1996 Accord coupe ex

Was driving for like 20 minutes then I pulled up to a gas Station and filled up gas.
After that I Clutched in and turned the key, the car wouldnt start. The batteries not died.
Played with the ignition for awhile till it started. Was fine for like a month then it started acting up again.
Today every time I had to start it, it would not start, only after like a 30 seconds of playing with the ignition did it start.

Question: Whats wrong?

-Im guessing its the STARTER but just making sure, dont want to order it and end up its something else

well if you have to play with the ignition, then you should obviously start with that. To rule out the alt/batt then check the voltage on the battery, and the only way the alternator could easily be it is if you were driving and the car just shut off out of no where and the battery is dead. Alternator is not charging the battery back up.

 

not the alternator, im thinking its the starter and not the ignition switch cause wen i turn the key it makes a click sound witch suggests that ignition switch is working fine
