Default Headlight delay

Hi!

When It gets cold in the fall, my headlights take longer and longer to come on first thing in the morning. Could it be in the switch?

Default Re: Headlight delay

are the HIDs?....as HIDs require time for the gases to get up to temperature and can take up to a minute to fully fire up in cold weather

Hi!
No they are stock headlights. I took the switch out of the steering wheel and dis-assembled the switch and cleaned the contacts with contact cleaner. ( They looked pretty bad!) But it didn't help. Should I just put in a new switch?? I don't think that the relays would do this.- The lightrs are taking a lot longer to come on in the cold mornings....

Thank you for the reply!
