Cams and a tune. Not "cheap" but relatively inexpensive.

Should be less than what you paid for all your bolt-ons. And will net you more gains than your other mods.

OR you could get a bigger throttle body and port match the IM. Cheaper than the cams, but you won't gain as much.

If u live in a place that doesn't have crazy strick emissions laws than convert to OBD1 and tune that bad boy.. and/or get some ITR or CTR cams for now.

How bout hondata intake manifold gasket? Its $50 and it'll get you like 3-5 horsepower in the top end.
Or a super light flywheel to go with the clutch

hahaha I saw he was from LA and the first thing I noticed was that he didnt have an alarm system of any sort. The OP's real question should be "How many days do you guys think I have until my EM1 gets stolen?" I live in upstate NY where car theft doesnt really happen and even I have a two way pager system and fuel cut off switch.

What security set up do you have?

 

how would an intake manifold gasket help gain 3~5 HP at top end? Are you refering to 3 HP gained at red line? Lower intake charge air temperature may be contributing to denser air at all engine speed.

 

something inexspensive...throttle body spacer(not sure of hp gain) , light weight pulleys.
IMO save up or piece together a turbo kit.

For power i'd say get rid of the dc headers and go with some 5zigen headers. Also some skunk2 cams stage 1 or 2. Maybe a stage 2 clutch.


Or you could think about suspension.


Or for common sense, take car of security for your car. I know where i live em1s get stolen all the time.

 

if you truly live in compton or anywhere in CA man security should be your number one priority, i swear i see at least 2 ppl a week on here from CA getting there stuff ganked. After that get some CTR pistons and some cams/gears and a chip/tune

 

Yeah I didn't even think to look at the OP location when I posted. If I lived in LA I would for sho get a LoJack or some sort of GPS, hell I have the Viper GPS on my civic now. Albuquerque is a dangerous place for H/A's, lol..

 

yea i got my suspension droped and im ok with the stock rims... i also took out the a/c and my cruise control and i have a carbon fiber VIS hood... and i already have the stage 2 clutch... and the security well.. im gettin their... the gps viper set seems gd tho... lol i gues every1 knows compton is bad lol.... im thinkin cams next tho...

 

well honestly u should do yur security, putting money into a car isnt fun if someone else is driving yur car, just a viper alarm ..... i would put like 20 million things on my car

 

Just do yourself a favor. Keep it as stock as possible unless you want to lose the joy of having one of these cars.
