Default Moroso or OEM Honda Oil Pan?

I have heard that the moroso tends to leak a lot and not sure if its just the people who I heard it from saying that although my tuner said OEM would be better, but I was curious to what you all think about the moroso and if I should get the OEM oil pan instead?

moroso works great on track. So long as you clean the old gasket off, and use some of that blue gasket stuff when you use the new gasket, you wont have a problem. But if your not road racing the car, why would you even need a moroso oil pan. Stick with stock...

The Moroso pan holds a extra quart of oil compares to the stock pan. Some people have had problems with leaking but I never have had any problems with my car. You can save yourself some money by just sticking with a stock unit but if you want to have a extra quart then go with the moroso. It also comes with the oil return & oil temp bungs already welded on.

No road racing, just track and some street fun. what would you guys suggest? I have to get a new oil pan as I just picked up a bare b18c1 block that I am bulding for next spring.

INSTALLATION NOTE for OIL PANS:

1)When installing plugs, sealant MUST be used, either tape or paste.
2)When installing gaket, sealant must NOT be used. It is installed DRY. Please make sure it is clean and dry. Best option is to replace gasket.
99% of leaks are a result of not following these procedures.

My pan is rusted out above the header so I'm just getting a moroso... for a new stock one plus welding all the bungs it'd cost about the same... if you're going budget just get a used pan and some of those bolt through fittings...

Can't really argue with increased capacity and pre fitted for drain back and oil temp.

Get the moroso street pan not the drag pan. the drag pan you will starve the engine for oil in corners and braking. Been there done that

There is one that lightning motorsports is selling which is who I would get it from. I just wanted your take on the pans. I am not on a budget. I think I will go with the Moroso Steel oil pan. Not sure if that is the street or drag?

just be sure its not a drag pan, the drag pan is th eone that requires the moroso oil pickup and has the kick out on the back of the pan. No good for street driving IMO.

steel pan is good to go, no leaks ever when i had one on my drag car. I think the leaks are user error.
