Helping a buddy out...he swapped an a2 in his ep3.
Everything works he just needs his key linked to the a2 ecu..
He called elk grove acura and they said they couldn't do it.
Any place else that would link up keys? Thanks

 

any dealership can do it....some dealerships do not like to do it or know how to lol(i had to show mine) but anyway call some other dealerships

 

Dealerships around here won't do it with the ecu in-hand. I had to drive to Acura with it running on the a3 ecu.

 

Been awhile hearing from you ^ but yes, that's what I've heard. Most people have to actually have the car and everything present to get it done.

OP, is your friend trying to get it reprogrammed in-car or in-hand?

 

Yeah when i had mine done we switched the ecu's in the dealership parking lot on our cars. Idk the dealership around here are pretty laid back

But yeah any dealership you just gotta find the right guy who can

 

i don't think it's even possible to program the ecu without it being in the car. i had to tow my civic to the dealer to get a key made when mine got lost.
