Is your transmission fluid full? My pos el camino wouldn't shift fast either when low on fluid
I don't know too much about autos, sorry. I know you can upgrade your torque converter and it'd make a difference. I wonder if your stock torque converter i tired?

maybe that could be it

car only has 47k on the odo

changed the fluid and the filter fluid was a nice red color so it didn't need to be changed but i did it anyways as far as being full...it is

i just feel that one day while auto x when she down shifts its gonna slip or when im at full throttle it not gonna go in the next gear cause its so slow lol

are u using honda atf fluid? believe it or not i have noticed big differences when using honda atf and aftermarket fluid....make sure fluid is in between the top and bottom line when trans is cold....trans fluid expands when it warms up so if u put it at the top line it would be overfilled when the trans warm up and it could cause shift problems too

Amsoil ATF has proven to me that it is far superior to ATF Z-1. Synthetic base, so it won't break down as easy, keeping the clutch packs in check. Higher break down temp, so it lasts longer. Higher detergent so it keeps valves, solenoids, and oil orifices nice and clean.

Transmission response is crisp! My wife's 01 MDX with 135k on original trans now runs it and the difference from 15k Z-1 intervals is night and day!
