car not starting?? fuel pump??
hey i have a 1992 honda prelude recently my car has been acting up and not starting. only once in a while the car wont start. when ever the car wont start i cant hear the fuel pump kick on.. but it kicks on sometimes and it starts what could be the problem on how to fix and how much it will be?? also i just changed the fuel pump out 7 months ago to a walbro 255 fuel pump... thanks in advance......
sounds to me like the main relay has gone bad... also have had this problem with my 92, going to run you about 50 to 60 dollars .. main relay controls power to the fuel pump they are bad about not engaging in warmer weather like during the summer or warmer days ... lay in drivers seat backwards with head where foot pedals are looking up like at the steering column underneath the dash may have to remove panel 4 screws i think but its a little gray or brown box with orange on the connector this is more than likely your problem ..
is a 94 h22a and 92 octane for about 6 months now.... and yeah the times i normaly start up the car to let it run is during the middle of the day when its about 80-85 degrees in the sun.... and the main relay is under the steering column under the dash is where the main relay is?? and its gray or borwn?? ah okay thanks may ill try go pick up one sometime this week..... thanks
