Default d16y8 & d15b7 question

I am running the stock d16y8 in im 96 ex. I have a b7 sitting in my garage. I am currently suffering from the famous d serious rod knock, for the second time with this y8 block. So i am looking to make a mini me setup with my y8 and b7. My question is, can i just throw the head on the block and put it back in my car, or do i have to do some work to make it work. I'm sure this has been covered b4 on here, but i am currently at school and these computers are as slow as *****. So don't flame me for "not doing some research". Thanks in advance, Jake!!

you need to remove the oil jet, but other than that it should be fine. How did you spin a bearing 2 times? what do you rev it to?
