I personally dont like exedy clutches, and have broke 3 or 4 of them on B series motors with bolt ons. I dont know if they've improved or anything but IMO I wouldnt run one, and will never will run one again.
I had Exedy on my race car and it was the only clutch I would ever put back on any of my cars! I was able to get the most out of my car when using Exedy clutches compared to others... and I did try others but didn't feel the same, didn't grab the same...
I will never forget one race weekend my clutch cracked while on track. I called Exedy North America after the incident since it was a new clutch and they asked for me to send them the crack clutch. A week later I got a check and 6 clutches for free!
Nothing like great customer service!
I was told that my clutch was part of a bad batch...

Well from my call to them they asked me what was the clutch used for and I told the guy it was race purposes. He then asked what kinda of racing I do and the convo went on for like 15 minutes. He said he would get back to me about my clutch. A week later got 6 clutches with a letter from the guy saying that he figure I could use these for the remainder of the season. I went threw those six clutches but damn was I competitive. The check was a refund for the broken clutch. Some times loyalty pays off in the end!
IMO thats a waste of time, I would rather have 1 good clutch then have to go through swapping out 6 whether they were free or not. Thats pretty much the same thing that happened to me with my exedy clutches. They kept sending me new ones and I got sick of breaking them and having to pull my tranny so I got a good clutch that never broke again.
