Fog Light incident killed my EP3 speedometer, HELP!
Car: 02 Civic Si
I'm having an issue with my speed-o-meter ligts (right side, fuel gauge and oil temp gauge)
I'm using Ebay fog lights and there's a gray harness that goes into the fuse box to the Left of the brown plug that also came in the pack that goes into the fuse box.
I believe the gray harness is for the switch and it's a 4-pin i believe.
I placed it to the left of the brown plug in and the switch didn't work
So i came online and got the oem Civic Si installation manual and it indicated that there was an identical socket in the fuse box for the same size gray harness plug.
Which ended up being above the brown plug one slot to the right.
I successfully placed it into the socket and then proceeded to turn the car on and press the switch. When i did, the switch started to smoke, So i immediately disconnected it.
Gave up, and turned on my car and gave the lights a check, only to realize only the left side of my cluster was lighting up, the right side was not lighting up at all. Both the oil temp and Fuel gauge weren't on at all.
Does anyone have a method to this madness?
Could it just be the bulbs got burned out (short circuited)
Has anyone dealt with this or is anyone knowledgable of the fuse box and how things work.

ya man i feel your pain same thing happen to me i got the ebay fogs as well... im about ready to just get a new cluster!!
You burned out the tracers in your gauge cluster, it can be repaired but you need a very steady hand and a good soldering iron. There's a write up on ep hatch I think.
wow glad I spent the $$ for the OEM foglights.
And wtf is this oil temp gauge you're talking about? We don't have one of those.

If you want to fix the burnt out tracers in your gauge cluster, go to RadioSack and buy the pen made for fixing circuit boards.
Happy? I helped.
I could've just laughed at you, but instead I wanted to know what the *eff* you're talking about. Explain where this oil pressure gauge is please?
