alright well im pretty confused. my bar came in and it came with a bag full of nuts and bolts and spacers...dont i use the bolts that are already there? is there any type of write up for a nrg harness bar install? i tried google and searched on here with no luck

It's a shim to fit kind of thing. Once you start installing it you'll see that some bolts only go in one place. I installed mine by trial and error.

 

what bolts did you use?

 

I used the NRG bolts for the top and I think I used the OEM ones on the bottom.

 

did you notice the bar is like 1 inch away from the pillar on each side on the top? what did you do about that?

did u try and call nrg cause i saw on another forum that they arent very helpful at all so i wouldnt waste my time

did you pre-measure the pillar widths before ordering? i know it comes with a make model and year, but it is very general and even states pre measure before ordering to ensure you get the correct one.

 

He has the right one. Because there's 1 inch on each side use a long bolt and the thick washers that came with it.
Here's the order
Bolt - Bar - thick washers (several) - chassis hole
I== ... () ... OOOO ... [O]

Yeah, I'll try to do that soon... ...I sorta spun a rod bearing so it's not like it's going anywhere.

Notice that I have a stock 3-point harness on the passenger's side and a 4-point harness on the driver's side.

There's 1 or 2 washers before the stock seatbelt bracket. This way it can still rotate. So, it's close to the plastic, but barely scraping.

 

We sell NRG harness bars, never any trouble with installing them though.

 

anyone sell camera mounts for these bars??
