Default Non-Honda management questions.... FC Datalogit

Anyone here have any experience with it? I have what I would consider some fairly basic questions about it, like general Idle control, Idle target, how do I set ignition timing at idle when it just over-rides the spark map, could I convert MAF to MAP, accel fuel, accel decay, decel fuel and decay..... I guess I could go on and on. lol If we could have put AEM in this car - I'd be lovin' life. I just don't 'get' this software.

The car drives ok, but there are a few driveability issues I'd like to improve, like the horrendous rpm dive when you pull the car out of gear at speed. Is there a 'high rpm idle offset' somewhere? And I really don't like MAF cars, I'd much rather tune with a MAP sensor if I could switch it over. Once in a while it backfires because decel isn't tight enough. And, the manual shows a screen for an Anti-lag 2-step, however, I don't see it in any of software versions I have access to. I can't even find a standard 2-step option for that matter. There are only 4 'tabs' of options that I can see. I don't know....

If I could speak with someone who really knew this software for just 5 minutes, I think I could clear up a lot of my questions. This isn't my first rodeo, I'm very familiar with AEM, and I know I'm looking for tables that don't exist with FC Datalogit, but I can't figure out how to improvise around this much "lack of control".

The car is (my little brother's) 2000 Celica GTS
Precision T3 57mm on ram-horn-style manifold
FMIC
TIAL WG and BOV
65 lb/hr injectors
255 in-tank
Power FC + FC Datalogit
Exedy stg. II
Otherwise bone stock with 98,000 miles on it.

Brand new, he went a scorching 15.6 at 88
My current tune at 9 psi, he went 14.2 at 99 (93 oct., 11.5 - 11.3 AFR in boost)

If you could help, or even give me some general advise with this software, I'd greatly appreciate it. PM or e-mail me, I may be able to do something to make it worth your time.

Not much to see, but here it is:

You can drop me a PM... I am also an AEM tuner, but also know my way real well with the PowerFC and Datalogit. I should be able to give you some "translations" if needed...lol

Just an FYI,

Jeff Evans has alot of experience with the FC; he used datalogit before my company set him up as a Power Excel dealer and at that point, for the most part, he stuck with FC Pro. He might be able to answer some of your issues via email. tech@evans-tuning.com

I was pretty well versed in FC a while back but it's been too long, and considering that datalogit is backwards engineered from FC Pro, i'd not be of much help.

i can say, though, that the datalogit offers about 95% of the functions that FC Pro does, and to be honest you should have everything you need there. it's just a familiarity issue, i'm sure.

also, i am not aware of any type of 2-step functionality with Power FC. i am not sure what the datalogit manual is referencing.
