Can you put a obd0 motor in a obd1 car?

yes... but TECHNICALLY its not legal.

you need the proper ecu dizzy and wiring harness

its legal unless you live in CA. all you need to do is get the correct harness, ecu and distributer. i have never heard of a law where its illegal to run a obd0 motor.

its against FEDERAL LAW to install an engine of a previous model year to the chassis of the vehicle. the engine must be chassis model year or NEWER

hmmmm well i would not worry about it, just my opinion. how often have you heard of someone getting a ticket for running a obd1 motor in a obd2 chassis? me, never. unless your in cali who actually checks for this i dont think it makes a difference. in WA we have strict laws, but this is always overlooked.

u need to strip the obd0 block bare and rebuild it with all the obd1 oil pan/pump/sensors/intake manifold/etc.... it will be plug n play.

but yah regarding my previous post i said "technically" which means you can get f'd for it... but chances are you wont... cuz everyone does it and unless your in CA no one gives a ****
