I have been running my car with no oil un-noticed becuase the oil light dos not work im guessing, my question is what can happen to a motor running with little or no oil?? and i have been running the car with no oil for 2-3 weeks off and on. the cuplret is my oil line to the oil pan from turbo.

what can or might have happen to my motor. running no oil.

 

spun bearing, turbo burnt from lack of lubrication, like theres like a million what can happen if theres no oil

 

does the oil light turn on when u start put the key to III

 

i guess yur VTEC wasnt working either, since there was no oil, unless u got a non vtec motor

 

well motor still strong turbo still workin and booste i think i cought it in time, there was oil still leaking thats y i checked and it still shows up on the dip stick so i might have lucked ut, but thanks i fixed the leak and im fillin that bad b@#tH up again.

o dam the oil light is not sappouse to come on at all when you turn your key on just for a sec then turn off, thats what mine dos.

 

its v-tec but the v-tec never worked ever since i had the car and i have done oil changes on it, but not after i got my new set-up installed, and the return line was leaking and thats when i found out no oil.

 

so u see the light that mean the bulbs isnt burnt,

 

I came into this problem today too.

Every time I would do a turn onto another street the oil light would blink. So I got home and had no oil, the dipstick didn't show any at ALL.

What could make my motor burn up so much oil all of a sudden?

well how often do u check yur oil, how many miles is on yur motor, everytime u park do u see oil spots

 

well thats another problem itself, just FYI oil needs to be full for VTEC to work , as with other variables

my light never flashed ever, but yes when i park i see spots but i fixed the problem and filled her up , i think my problems over but whats up with yours, let try to help her out.

but my motor only has like 7,000 on it and i dont feel any funny stuff from it just smooth other then the leak i had but shes good now and i change my oil like i should.

 

no way its quite smooth and runns strong , nothing like that at all, just no oil in it when i checked cuz i fixed my leaky drain tube, lol . i guess im good thanks god.

 

I never really check it, everytime I did an oil change the oil was always perfect.

I'd say I have 80K on the engine. Never seen any oil spots, Im going to be keeping a close eye on it from now on.

 

u can also blow a head cus theres no lubrication

 

I read it somewhere, where the dealer drain the oil off a acura RL (trade in Chunker car), and drove the sucker for 40 mins. Then it finally caught on fire at the back.
But the first thing it'll go out is your valvetrain then your rods.
