Rebuilt trans making noise
I just had my b16 transmission rebuilt..type R lsd mfactory 4.9 diff ls fith carbon coated synchros and brand new bearings and seals..the problem im having is when the trany is coasting in gear i hear a bad whining noise it gets a little quieter when i put it in neutrol.. If anybody could help me out i would really apriciate it... Thanks
Probably bearing noise. Either one not installed the 'correct' side up, or a bad needle bearing that perhaps was damaged prior or got damaged in the process.
Yea i was leaning towards that but I spoke with an mfactory rep and he said that they really dont make noise that they are really quiet on hondas trannys
I can hear the whine with my MFactory close gear set, even over the SMSP race exhaust (only on light throttle). In cars with full exhaust and close gear set it was easy to hear the whine.
