I have a 91 Honda accord. Hard to start only in morning, especially when weather is cold. Engine light on; Also the transmission gear indicator light flashes while the engine light is on. A couple of tries and the engine turns over . I drive about 5 minutes. Turn off engine, restart, and everything is fine, no engine light or trans. light and everything runs normal for the rest of the day . What is going on, please help...

 

a few things could be at fault..... best thing to do before messing with anything is to go somewhere like advance auto and get them to pull up the code for you and see what it is.

it sounds like something isn't operating properly before your car has had time to warm up.
yet again, this could be any number of things, which is why i would seriously recommend you make finding out that code a top priority (its free btw)

Mike is 100% right. The PCM/ECM tells all. Get the code and chances are you'll find your problem right away
