Default B16a into Eg Hatch w/ Vtec Problems

So i got my b16a swap into my 1994 Dx hatchback. Pulls good but i can't get the Cel Code #22 Vtec Pressure i believe? To go away. My buddy who also just swapped a gsr into is 93 hatch has the same problem.

Ive tried 2 diff. vtec solenoids, checked the wiring, Check to make sure the vtec wires were pinned right on the ECU(since mine was a 94, vtec wasn't ran on the chassis) I'm really at a loss as to what is going on?

If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated! Also, before you tell me to go search ive been doing it for days on end now!

Thanks,

Brandon

for vtec oil pressure switch put one to a ground and one goes to the ecu.just wrap one wire to a bolt on the valve cover and other stays to the ecu.

I had the same problem when i swapped in my b16 into my del sol. The problem is that your ecu is looking for the vtec oil pressure switch to send a signal to the ecu telling it the vtec is either engaged or not. Your motor (like mine) dose NOT have a vtec oil pressure switch. SO what your gonna have to do is wire up a bypass to "Trick" the ecu into thinking its getting the signal its looking for. Here is a great link to wire up the bypass: https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-civic-del-sol-1992-2000-1/vtec-oil-pressure-switch-bypass-really-simple-1693528/. And Yes the b16 vtec is very loud, when it kicks in you''ll know it. Mine hits right at 5,600.

Well it didn't work for me...im gonna try it with the other vtec solenoid. JW15U where did you run that wire between the 2? A4 and D6 that is. Right before the connectors on the ECU or by the solenoid itself?
