Anyone have any ideas, when you first fire up the car it is fine, but when you start driving and have to come to a stop and have the clutch pushed in or in neutral it starts reving up to around 1700 then drops down then back up until you put a load back on the motor...any ideas???

see if you have a coolant leak
check your dizzy, cap, rotor
any cel?

 

no leaks anywhere, dizzy cap and rotor are all fine, and only cells i have are for running to rich and at trans cause i did a 5 speed swap, but haven't found a manual ecu yet

 

the AT ecu is just one resistor away from being a 5spd ecu. pm thumper64 he knows how to do it.
im guessing its a AT ecu thing. doesnt seem harmful prolly just annoying. if you find a 5spd ecu try that and see if it does the same thing
