Default Car shut down on neutral drive

Hi everybody. i have a very bizar trouble. i have been looking on a lot of topic of the forum but i havn't seen issue like mine :

When i put the shifter on neutral position, the ecu shut down, and the engine runs off. I think it might be a ground trouble or something like this. i have no idea where to start with this trouble, if anybody knows, please tell me.

Note : my car as the battery located in the trunk and i doublechecked my setup, everthing as seem to be ok.

MPFI swap done (Sohc ZC non vtec)
Manual transmission

Thank you

Today i heard that everytime i move my shifter to 1,2,3,4,5, R (while car is not running) my main relay is clicking everytime i switch gear and my ecu goes on/off, but it has no power in it when my shifter is at neutral position. it look like a ground problem in the interior harness.

it really look like my shifter make a ground that should be defectuous somewhere.

any poeple that have already experienced trouble like this ?

Thank you all.

I don't now what but there is something that isn't grounding at all.

I had a similar problem with my crx with the battery in the trunk. The ground wire, which was attached to the shock tower was tight and everything but I disconnected it and tried another location and have not had a problem since. Took me a while to figure it out but give it a try...

Your transmission in gear is making contact and holding a ground when it goes into nuetral it loses that ground correct? I'd start my search around the tranny for a poor ground

I did try something new, i ground (a16 and a18 wires) the ecu straight on the body, it didn't change anything.

Il will try to change my ground location

well i tried to change my ground but it seem like it is alright because car's lights (headlight, interior light) are working all right. the only thing not working at all is the ECU

i'll try to add another ground on my transmission . because when my shift link were on the car, the ecu was on (partially).

Any other reflexion will be apprenciate. thank to everyone
