So I just went to fill up at the gas station and instead of clicking when full the pump overfills my tank and gasoline spills everywhere.

Question is: is there something wrong with my car or is it the station's pump?

 

Faulty nozzle, or some one topped off previously and clogged up the vapor hole which shuts off the nozzle when you're car is full.

 

Alright sounds good. I called them to tell them that their pump is broken, lol.

it happened to me once to. It forgot to stop pumping.

 

Had the same problem at Shell a few weeks ago.
They fixed it the next day.

 

happend to me got gas all over my pants and some guy laughed at me T_T

 

done that once before, i HATE that though when the gas finishes pumping then it goes CLICKYBOOOSH and like a splatter of gasoline goes everywhere...

 

I done it a while back, was actually moving, and was pumping a uhaul truck. I figure it's about 25 gallon, etc, time, etc. So i went to the store to buy snacks for the road, came back with gas all over the ground, and the pump was still going. I ended up paying for like 30+ gallon of gas.... Spill 5+ gallon on the ground... So now i don't leave the pump until it's finish pumping.

 

If the fuel overflow problem is recurring, don't rule out a problem with the EVAP system, as mentioned by oneiro.
