how hard is it to put a front bumper on?
Check out the above picture, I'm gonna be junk yard searching soon for some parts.. I heard the front bumper is really hard to put on?? Is this true? How complicated could it be? Let me know.
Dan
What did you do to your car?
Anyway for CRX I think it is 2 screws behind each fender, 2 screws behind each bumper light, 1 screw behind each turn signal, and a couple on the bottom holding it flush with the car.
I've taken the bumper off my car lots and have had no problem.

not hard on a regular CRX... on one that's been in a wreck it might be a great deal harder to get things to line up.
two screws in each fender, two screws for each turn signal, two bolts behind the signals, and two under the car... pull out, it's simple

Might not be that hard. I rear ended some guy and after that took my bumper off and the stuff behind it was fine, bumper is actually in perfect shape. I don't think it will be that hard.
well from that picture the bumper slide bar is very damaged, mine was also damaged during installation but somehow everything still lines up flush. For the ones behind the bottom turn signals you need a fairly long extension bit.
I just put a new bumper on my hatch 2 days ago. It's pretty easy, helps to have atleast one other person to help hold it up and what not.
Also, you might spend too much money if you go to a salvage yard. I picked up my front bumper cover for like $44 at Certi-Fit. Fits perfectly and is brand new.

check your bumper re-bar. the big metal piece behind the bumper when u take it off. check to make sure its perfect or esle your never gonna get it lined up again.

First take the bumper off and check ypur bumper support(large metal bar behind bumper cover). If it's damaged then you'll need a new one. Mine was easy to remove , but kinda bulky. It should have four to eight bolts holding it to the frame. Mine only had four, two on each side. But it looked like some one just left two off each side of mine when they fixed it before. All the bolts on each side of the bumper support are together in a 4 square pattern.
Hopefully this will help you.
