Need a good machine shop in North Carolina
I have a ton of backed up machine work that need to be done and need a reputable shop in the Raleigh area. a shop familiar with japanese motors and not just a hunk of iron. already factored out are Loop Rd machine for unsatisfactory work, and John West for B.Sing.
RLZ is the best place you'll find although their turn-around times are a little long. Also try contacting user 'jdogg' here. He's very familiar with H motors and will be able to point you in the right direction of a good machine shop. Don't sweat it though, lot of good options in NC.
I had headwork done by Bill's Speed Shop near FV in Wake County. I believe his son worked on it, as apparently he has more experience with Honda machining. This was several years ago but the motor and head are still running strong (D16). I am satisfied so I'll mention them here.
I've had good experience with Steve Ashworth's Performance for domestic work. They build race motors so perhaps they could help you anyways or give you more ideas.
