all the other gears work for vtec, not sure why its gotta be my first gear. just changed to a new distributor and new spark plugs. oil level is fine, and car is warmed up. anybody else have this problem or know what the problem could be..

 

what program r u running? if crome, click in the box called disable VTEC speed check

 

dont get what you mean by program? everything on my motor is still stock, if thats what youre talking about how do I check for the v-tech..please get back to me, thanks

 

Is your check engine light on ?
If so, what codes is the vehicle throwing ?

 

the weird thing is that i had the check engine light on for a little while but after that it disappeared and never came back on. the code that did show up was P1381. but i think this had to do with the distributor, already changed that and the spark plug wires. think i might change the vtec solenoid gasket. think this would help at all?

 

It could be you are low on oil. During first gear the oil is more likely to slide away from the pickup during acceleration.

 

no oil level is still good, and when it has been low ive never had a problem with the vtec though, i think it might be due to my oil pan being messed up to since i always hit curves like crazy since my cars lowered, really ticks me off miss the vtec like crazy
