Default Clutch disc and Pressure plate relationships

Hi guys, serached for what im after but really couldnt find exactly what im looking for. Heres the situation:

-Baught a USED comp. Clutch 6 puck sprung and its respective pressure plate. Had a little life still left in it, getting abused via T4 turbo on a mildly built GSR motor, LSD trans, at around 300-450whp street car (Low and high boost settings)

Now Im basically at the point where its slipping in the high boost area, still KINDA ok at the ~300whp range, I want to just get a new Disc and be done with it. IS this possible/recoomended? Im concerned that (1) I will have to size the disc to the plate I have, or do pretty much all B-series discs are the same diameter? (2) the ware on the pressure plate will be different from the new disc and need re-surfacing?? (i know the flywheel will need re-surfacing)

Anyone with experience with this? Thanks in advance and I hope i have provided enough information. Thanks.

Unless the disc is worn to the rivets, you need a pressure plate with a higher clamping force, otherwise it will still slip with the high boost.

I see...hmm well I was kinda thinking that if I replaced the clutch disc (more material) that this would help to hold the power better...so with that in mind, my question was more on the lines of "can I just buy a new clutch disc and use my existing pressure plate with it or not) ??

On another note, does the pressure plate loose its "bite" over time? my intial thoughts are no, but im not sure. Thanks a lot guys, just dont want to fork out 4-500 if i can just get a new clutch disc for ~100 ish

You can just get a new disc, but it will still slip on high boost.

Clutch does the biting, not the pressure plate. Pressure plate just clamps the clutch against the flywheel.
