Default Bad Distributor

I have a bad dist. but it's not the Coil cause I swapped it with known good ones. What else inside of it goes bad and how much is it usually. Is it the TDC sensor? There's only like 3 things inside of it... Thanks.

What problems are you having with the car, for you to determine that its the distributor...

It also could be the ignitor.

Take the ignition control module to your nearest O'Rielly's or CSK O'Rielly's store and they will check the ICM for free.

Also check the wires going into the 3 position sensors inside the distributor for cracks in the insulation. Its quite common and will cause intermittent issues.

Okay, I take a dist.. Off the car and then put a known GOOD one on it and the car Starts. Thus, the dist is bad. I then swap out coils. Both coils are GOOD. what else inside this other dist could go bad. PLease read thanks.

THere are only 3 serviceable parts inside some Honda distributors. Rotors, coils, and Ignitors. If you have swapped coils already then most likely the ignitor(Ignition Control Module ICM) is faulty.
